One Month after Assembly Elections 2013 - What are Chief Ministers up to?

Wikipedia says, "A Chief Minister is the elected head of government of a state of India. The chief minister is the head of the state (governor is the nominal head (de jure executive) and does every thing under the guidance of the chief minister) Cabinet, and the leader of the state Legislature. By the Constitution of India, the chief minister is appointed by the Governor of the state (article 164)."

I often wonder how busy the lives of people who lead the state/nation are. These are positions of huge responsibility, involvement and commitment. CMs are required to comment on everything that is happening in the state, speak on every topic in the news, take action on everything that is reported to them and please the public with their superman power. Its true that a good number of people in a state might not know the CM of the state, unless its someone who has been ruling for ages or someone who keeps attracting the cameras all the time. CMs are required to attend to hundreds of issues across the state and thus, the larger the population and land area, the tougher their tasks becomes. They are also supposed to dedicate time towards their party's work. In all this, they seldom find time for family or themselves.

I wanted to understand what exactly these guys do. There are many ways to do that but for those who live by Google, here is a bit of research. I searched for the name of the CM in Google, filtered the search to News, and further, filtered it to pages from India and time period of last 1 month. I looked at the first few pages of the search results to find out what these Chief Ministers have been doing over the last one month. I chose the names of 5 chief ministers who come in to power after the Assembly Elections 2013.

The search results could indicate the overall direction of the CMs' interests and focus. It shows us how they are spending time, what kind of issues are important to them and what has been their focus in the last one month of coming to power. All the following information has been sourced from Google and various news providing websites that appeared in the search results.

So, here is what our Chief Ministers are up to.
